What I've Been Reading
Posted by Jeff Erno on Friday, January 6, 2012
I'm going to use Fridays to recap my week of reading. Here are some of the good books I've finished lately:

Real Boys Kiss Boys
by Joe Filippone
It's a brand new school year and Mitch is not looking forward to it. He has also felt like an outcast in his small town, never fitting in and never having any friends. But suddenly that all changes when Luka, the new boy from California transfers to his school. For the first time Mitch has a best friend and is truly happy but he soon finds out that things are not always what they seem and life can be pretty complicated when you're in high school.

Broken Bones, Mended Hearts
by William Cooper
When Noah wakes up in the hospital, he's relieved to see his best friend Mark at his side.Mark's always been there for him—ever since a school bully tried to steal Noah's lunch money. Is it too much for Noah to hope that Mark will want to be a more permanent part of his life?

Duck
by Kim Dare
Raised among humans, Ori Jones only discovered he was an avian shifter six months ago. Unable to complete a full shift until he reaches his avian maturity, he still can’t be sure of his exact species. But with species comes rank, and rank is everything to the avians. When a partial shift allows the elders to announce that they believe Ori to be a rather ugly little duckling, he drops straight to the bottom rung of their hierarchy. Life isn’t easy for Ori until he comes to the attention of a high ranking hawk shifter. Then the only question is, is Ori really a duck—and what will his new master think when the truth eventually comes out?

Touching Wood
by Kim Dare
It’s been quite a while since Ross and his master, Harry, have had time to go down into their basement play room and have some fun together. That’s about to change. Everyone knows that touching wood can bring a person luck and Ross needs all the luck he can get tonight. Failing to touch wood isn’t an option—but when a man is bound and helpless it isn’t necessarily easy to succeed either. (Author's Note: All the royalties the author recieves for this story are being donated to ALSO Out Youth as part of the Goodreads M/M Romance Group's fundraising drive.)

The Gay Gene Rising
Disciples of Goedric Trilogy #1
by Jeffrey Jude
Weeks after the discovery of the gay gene is announced by researchers at the IHI Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, IFC Pharmaceuticals announces “AEG/IS”—the gay cure. While the world is busy debating the drug’s merits, a suspicious fever kills hundreds of thousands of gay men in less than twenty-four hours, presenting millions upon millions of people with an impossible choice—take the gay cure or die..
