Trust Me is the story of two very different boys who are drawn together by a force much more powerful than the sum of their differences.
Shawn Graham is a quiet, studious boy. He is a devout Christian, called by God at a very young age to do great things for the Lord. Shawn is shy, reserved, and extremely modest. He's soft-spoken and sensitive, and he is every mother's dream--the best little boy in the world. Shawn has a secret though, and he fears that if and when it's revealed everyone will know that he's not so good at all.
Bobby Wilder is a rebel. A latchkey kid from the age of nine, he learns to fend for himself. He doesn't care what others think of him; he does what he wants. Bobby is street smart. He's tough and outspoken. He does whatever is necessary to assure his survival. He also has a secret.
When Shawn and Bobby are brought together, they discover that they each fulfill a need within the other. The attraction that initially brings them together soon blossoms into something beautiful, something that goes beyond mere friendship.
Their love for one another may not be enough to keep them together, though, for there are many forces which try to pull them apart. Shawn must grapple with his painful past and somehow find a way to reconcile his religious beliefs with his self identity. Bobby must decide if his love for Shawn outweighs his reputation and image as a bad boy rebel. They both must determine whether the pressures from their families and from society are larger and more powerful than their love for one another.
Trust Me is a story of self-discovery. It is a story of faith and hope and above-all love. It is about forgiveness and healing, about families and friends, about having the courage to believe and to trust blindly.
Trust Me may just change your heart, if you're willing to believe. Trust me.
